You Are

You’re the one I like,
You’re the one I want.
You’re the one I will not taunt,
Everyone’s nice,
But you are as sweet as rice.
Even if you are my kite.
You make me wait for sunlight,
For you to teach me.
I am astonished by your beauty.
And I am always by the hall,
You are the one that looks like a doll.
In the middle of fall,
If you recall.
I will miss you,
Even if you turn blue.

This poem, in rhyme form, is a sweet declaraion of love. My favorite line is, "...the one I will not taunt..." Now that is friendship on a higher level. Keep writing. And welcome to Poetry Soup. Love, Dane
