You and the Warm Whiskey

That bottle of whiskey warms my lonesome soul The thought of your smile is what makes me whole I don't have you in my arms when I lay down to rest But that bottle seems to just soften the stress You're so far from me I long to feel you close You're in my thoughts but on life goes I come home to nothing Sit in the dim light With the bottle in my hands slowly indulging until I lose sight When my weary eyes awake nothing has begun to change You're still so far and the bottle tastes the same Another dark day comes and my soul fills with cries Come back to me before my heart completely dies It's so hard in this world to miss and cherish you Whiskey holding my life telling me love's not true Look at me one more time Smile and do not weep With the stars shining and the love running deep It is goodbye once again with you forever on my mind The path I choose for life has been clearly defined...

Very sad. This clearly expresses your hurt in no uncertain terms.
