You and I

If I were to ponder
   Offer a thought
Never to have seen
   The things I sought
Never to have sensed
   The joys you brought
My dreams of you
   Never to have caught
Learned to have loved
   A lesson you taught
Painted me in colors
   To this art you wrought
Forgiven my past
Made me to what I ought
Breathed life into me
   Once burdened with fraught
Me, because of you
   Not for naught
