YOU

You are the rising sun that begins my day
You are the setting sun that ends my day
And between the two
I have you

For this makes a happy heart
And you the biggest part
I have done right and I have done wrong on this journey long
You have always been there and always strong

Many a time I have had a doubt
And did not know what it was all about
I searched deep within me
You came by my side and made me see

I carry a burden of fear
Some far and some near
You hold your head up high
And don’t ask why

I am a fallen leaf
Without any belief
You are the sturdy tree
To which I return to be

I awaken to you – the rising sun
To begin my day
To be with you
There with you – the setting sun
