You

You. (in DADGAD Tuning) Would you be there if I came to see you, Lay flowers on your grave? Would you be there if I came to see you, with all the love I now save? Would you be there if I came to see you, full of memories gone by? Would you be there if I came to see you, should I stand there and cry? When you came in, storm clouds had gathered, When you came in, my world was complete, When you came in, you filled me with wonder, When you came in, laid flowers at my feet. Why you parted, from the world outside my window, Why you parted, hurt me deep inside, Why you parted, darkest nights' long shadow, Why you parted, the night you died. Where are you now, when I call out your name? Where are you now, in a star far up high? Where are you now, with anguish and pain? Where are you now, in the trees I pass by? Will you wait for me, in the place you've now gone? Will you wait for me, with arms tender wide? Will you wait for me, so that I may stay strong? Will you wait for me, that I may be; at your side? Would you be there if I came to see you, Lay flowers on your grave? Would you be there if I came to see you, with all the love I now save? Would you be there if I came to see you, full of memories gone by? Would you be there if I came to see you, should I stand there and say goodbye? ©Chris Matthews 18/06/2014
