You
By your grave I now stand
The headstone stands, tall and grand
Like a tower for all to see
For young and old, not just for me
The words engraved cannot say
All you did in your special way
It’s really quiet, so peaceful here
In solitude, I shed a tear
Time goes by, it's been hours
Since I arrived with fresh flowers
This special time, means so much
It brings us close, we almost touch
Back to my world, now I must leave
But I cherish this time, it helps me grieve
So until tomorrow when we chat again
I’ll wear a smile to hide my pain.
