Yet She Said She Was Mine

Yet she said she was mine Nights of silence, what's wrong? And she always said it was fine Lost in her thoughts when she dines Lots of phone calls and a new love song Yet she said she was mine Motivations given, hold the line Fight for us, you are strong And she always said it was fine Lately she has been drinking wine Drunk and out all night long Yet she said she was mine It was clear, she showed the signs They were everywhere but covered in the fog And she always said it was fine Today she broke my heart, crushed my spine She simply went, she said she didn't belong Yet she said she was mine And she always said it was fine

Thanks for sharing this. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God bless you.
