Yet I Wonder

Yet I Wonder....

I don't know what the future holds,
Yet I am living day to day.
I don't know why I hear the screams,
Yet I listen closely, often hearing my name
I don't know why I close my eyes and see the stars,
Yet it mesmerizes me and brings me comfort
I don't know why I speak, and nobody listens
Yet I keep trying in hopes that you will take up my cause
I don't know why I push myself to get up in the morning,
Yet I know if I don't, my body fails me

Yet I wonder…

I don't know a lot of things,
And I never will,
Yet I do know that if I stop learning ,
I will stop living, and I will wonder--
WHY?
