Yesterday's Smile

Time, passing me by
Yesterday's my reason why
No longer I try
Passing me by like
yesterday's smile
Done walked that mile
Demanding I give her my heart
But with hers she'll never part
Way it goes
Everybody knows
Yesterday's smile won't carry me that far
that seems about par
What can you do
Stepping on past that color blue
Before you can make me weep
My heart I will keep
Don't need your I love you
No word is true
So I keep on a walking
Leaving you a talking
Life done showed
All love is blowed
Can't let that seed be sowed
When the heart breaks
That's all it takes
I got taken to school
And that's cool
Learned I could stand on my own
Don't want your love shown
Maybe I've grown
All I need is me
I have come to see
Now that makes me free
