Yesterdays
This time it felt real,
my weakness, I could no longer deny,
I would have done anything for you,
now all I do is ask why.
My life seems different,
I think I've changed in many ways,
for instance, I no longer cry all night,
for thinking about our yesterdays.
I no longer sit around,
waiting just for you to call,
I no longer sit around waiting,
waiting for you at all.
Though I love you with all my heart,
and gave forgiveness for what was done,
I have to give my love , and be loved by someone.
Forgiveness will not make me weaken,
but hopefully help me make it through,
to trying to begin, to live my life without you.
I don't know how,
but God, in some way, make this pain stop,
if you're up there and you're listening,
don't let another tear drop.
Make me believe there is life,
long after this,
because his lips are the only lips,
I want to kiss.
Forgiveness will be my strength,
and guide me through with ease,
guarding my heart of old memories,
coming back to tease.
