Yesterday Tomorrow

Good morning pretty lady
I'm up before the sun
Brewing up some coffee
Thinking of the one
Who sat right near me yesterday
An unexpected gift
More time to see your beauty
And how my heart did lift
It made it's way right over
You didn't even see
My heart there on your shoulder
Sending love from me

You twirled your hair, you smiled lots
A lilac sweater, right?
I played for you with purpose
I'd do that day and night
If the time should ever come
To be your troubadour
I'd only want to be with you
I would want no more
I see us there together
Together as a team
And I would teach you the guitar
Just like in your dream
