Yesterday

Yesterday
My son was born, distress
Gave way to Joy
From my womb into my
Arms
Godly blessing was the
Boy.

Yesterday
My son was born, blowing
Bubbles, running wild
Catch a rainbow, chase the
Wind
Wondrous wonderer was the
Child.

Yesterday
My son was born, lifting
Wings so newly grown
From my arms into the
World
Phoenix rising, on his
Own.

Yesterday
My son was born, ripping
Stabbing at my heart
From my world into his
Dreams
Mother's man-child did
Depart.

As a mother of a son, this made me tear up, it is almost painful thinking back, it seems just like as if it was just yesterday they were blowing bubbles chasing rainbows: etc: and as they depart , leaving us , when time fleets and things change, that emptiness i can totally understand and feel. The most painful ending. Sending you well wishes always, ink
