Yellow Roses

October comes it brings the rain gently tapping at my window pane Avoiding its wet touch, indoors I hide from my warm haven; I peer outside Amid the gloom their lemon shades their vivid blooms as summer fades as the garden slowly decomposes their still smiles my yellow roses.
