Yellow Delight
Winter spirit immediately uplifted
When eyes alighted on yellow delight
From gloom to joy my mood just shifted
Daffodil heaven wonderful, beautiful sight.
Along hedgerows in golden clusters
Thick swathes abound before my eye
golden aura nature has mustered
spellbinding magic that will flutter and die
Take comfort from indisputable fact
Spring is a time of glorious rebirth
Return it will with magic unwrapped
When daffodils spring from Mother Earth.
