Years To Life and Life To Years
My dream is that the grim reapers power be taken
That our quest of adding years to life and life to years be not forsaken
Its not a crime to delay the meeting with our maker
If the only losers are the undertaker
But a tragedy that life is oh so short
And a myth that precious years and health cannot be bought
Few on this mortal plain wish for life eternal
But years of gathered wisdom lost through death is near infernal
But the mind of man to move mountains has no bounds
And as for three score years and ten it has no grounds
So lets be like children and wish upon a star with all our might
But more than wish, lets rage against the dying of the light
And together pool our knowledge, skills and power
And make the near future hold our finest hour
Death and dying will then just be present truths that can be broken
Go on, express your doubts, but never once have truer words been spoken
Our dream that the grim reapers power be taken
Our quest of adding years to life and life to years be not forsaken
