Years' Roll
Years roll to occasion the flight of time
And I shall never cease the penning of rhyme;
Even when vanity assaults
And futility with its cohorts
Advance against my sashay,
I shall ever be glued upon the excellent way!
Not that I'm a genius that thus I write
But simply love the delicious bite
Of choice verse and excellent rhyme;
Nor do I busy my soul with the want of dime.
Love I also to sing every beautiful song
Just as the gifted angels I live among!
