Years End

Its a fitting end to a trouble filled year
Not being near those I love so dear
Not with my daughters or with my family
Or with my friends I hold so dearly
I miss the smiles I see on their faces
And taking them to such wonderful places
Just riding around looking at lights
They seem to love such beautiful sights
I stand strong and behind my decisions
We all learn from lifes little lessons
A year like this I've not known before
This year cut deeply, all the way to my
core
