Yearning For Yellow
Gray buildings
Gray skies
Gray city
That’s what we see 5 days a week
Our time is spent
In offices
Pushing paper
We’re in need of some relief
The sun is the one
Who should hang in the sky
No more gloominess
Yellow light, hear our cry
We’re Yearning for Yellow
To shine all around
Envelope us - surround
Casting its hue like a golden net
To brighten our lives
Let yellow light abound
Rain
Thundering
Dark, black clouds
Will these dreary shadows ever fade?
We need
Radiance
Filling us up
For amber light I would surely trade
The sun is the one
Who should hang in the sky
No more gloominess
Yellow light, hear our cry
Luminosity, everything’s revealed
Joy everywhere, no longer concealed
We’re Yearning for Yellow
To shine all around
Envelope us - surround
Casting its hue like a golden net
To brighten our lives
Let yellow light abound
