Yeah, I'M Bitter

It’s not that I wish bad things for you, However, I do wish you’d see me living my best life right in front of you I wish you can see me succeed in all my endeavours that you’ve never believed I can achieve I wish you’d see me winning what you laughed at as a pipe dream I wish you’d see me in love with a man who’s more in love with me A man who’d treat me in a manner that you thought I didn’t deserve A man who’ll actually fight for me and our relationship A man who admits his wrongs Who shifts no blames on me Who doesn’t manipulate me into thinking ‘’I’m the problem’’ Whose sorries aren’t justified Because if you justify your actions in a relationship, why apologize in the first place ? Doesn’t the justification of your doings, mean somehow your act wasn’t wrong? Who’s no hypocrite, who doesn’t indulge in things that he always preaches me not to do Who loves me for who I am and not what I can be in his head Because if you have to give reasons why you love a person, then do you really love them? All reasons could end right? If you love them for their intellect, that could change in a minute, might be in an accident and turn into a cabbage or lose their mind Might lose their angelic voice. I’m just saying, certain circumstances may mess with the reasons of why you love a person Then, did you really love them? Who isn’t ashamed of me and doesn’t always second guess my decisions A man of honor and intergrity, who’s in public the same as in private… Well, except in bed, can’t show that to the public now, can we? Who doesn’t make me feel stupid for raising real concerns about our relationship, Who’ll say he loves me by his mouth and follow through with actions. Who doesn’t just because he has more financial freedom than me, then he can on my head anytime That his faults would be simply ignored because he pays the bills and throws in a bunch of flowers now and then Who knows what he wants Whom I’d say ‘’I love you’’ and not regret it I wish you’d witness me being with this kind of a man So you’d know I’m valuable too But most of all, I wish you’d witness me falling for myself… deeper.
