Written by me

The warmth, the smile
The promise to walk for miles.
The lies that were said with grace
Was it all a sign to brace?
For a future full of pain
For the heart that bled red in vain!
The soft teasing of abandoning
Was it a warning of the inevitable happening?
The last promise to not cry
To scream within while my eyes stay dry.
To smile faintly,
while my heart is broken.
While all the bases that I stood on are shaken.
To console others and stand for you.
Was it all planned way ahead too?
To stay stoic while others mourn.
To stay afloat while all I want is to drown.
To burn from the fire that you gave
To want to kill but have to save.
Wasn't it cruel and bad
That I was meant to lie there and you had to be the sad
But fate and destiny must be having fun
At your funeral I stand while to lay beside is what I yearn.
You were supposed to be the poet, the writer
You were supposed to live and glow a bit brighter
Well I was proven wrong I see
For you lay lifeless and this is written by me.
