When you swim out far you don’t know if you will come back again
I tried it once and I haven’t seen the world the same
I never knew you could have left me out so far when the clouds they came
When my body shivered with the coldness of the nights of endless rain
I was just another casualty that couldn’t take the rejection in my brain
I thought I would swallow too much water then the world explained
You can’t give up on the sight of seeing the soft terrain
You can’t forget the steps you walked before that’s without chains
I tried so hard to forget you but when I reached the beach all I could see written in the sand was your name.
