Writing You
I wrote to you
in my hand
I did
before I
came here
I even used
my favorite pen
with the ink
that won't
smear
I did
before I
came here
wrote your name
in curly lines
on sheets
of paper
I wrote
in rhyme
I did
before I
came here
write the words
of loving you
hoping too
that we
could dream
in a stream
of color
daring to
believe
that I'm
the other
in your eyes
at night
I did...
I did write
before I
came here
and marked
in hearts
exclamation!
sparks flew
on the paper
defined
as creation
I did
before I
came here
wrote a Book
and in it...
I was writing You.
