Writing a Poem

I’m writing you a poem
I’m writing this poem because
Your inner most thoughts
I pray to know them

Because I love you
And there’s nothing higher than you
Because you’re more than just a great body
And that beautiful smile
There’s an intelligence about you
That I can’t deny

Days I sit and cry
Not physical tears
But like rain they fall
These words onto paper

I won’t claim to be a poet
But the content of my heart
My finger tips know it
So I let wild horses run

When I rhyme a verse
It’s just the hope of my
Tomorrow In reverse
These tomorrows I wish you’d be the fabric of

How you never try to
Change me into the man I’m not
It’s like you’ve altered the man you want
Into me

From across these seas
Your heart won’t let me
Sit and cry alone
I live for the next day I hold
The most amazing woman in the world.
