Poets like social butterflies, try to get out, to see and be seen To hear and recite To post and 'got mail' replies But word-smithing is a soul alone depositing to a vast agglomeration always on the stove, brooding and bubbling away.

"always on the stove, brooding and bubbling away''.... YOU NAILED IT MY FRIEND. Great description of poets in my opinion. Thinking,brooding and writing... oft the brooding part is what ripens the fruit...

you hit the nail on the head John but sadly I see an apathy on the site and reads and comments are hard to come by unless like me you post an 'adieu' poem and end up getting POTD I am sure some are sad it wasn't true but they won't get rid of me that easily :-( hugs jan xx
