Write Out Loud
on each new poem i aim to start
right in the middle of the page
then all around i move each thought
til all my senses i engage
my story grows as there-and-then
built up from bits of here-and-now
thus it spreads in two dimension
no third one will the page allow
for that i read between each line
and watch an image there appear
thus bringing in a sense of time
and detailed picture coming clear
but to this page the words are tied
so read out loud to set them free
so other minds then are stirred
and their own picture there to see
