Write Me a Letter

Away from the constant tip tap, Keep the cringy device aside; Just open a few pages on the lap, Let a pen on it, ride! A great day for Mr. Pen, its a bliss, Twirling around fingers, at work, At breaks it rests between the lips; Day so eventful, today is quirk! A smile, a smirk, even the burrowed eyes, Changing expressions as words pour; Love, lessons, incidents, lies, Enveloped and sent at door! Looking agape in space, Searching for words from the sphere, That dreamy, thoughtful face, Thinking about a dear! That smell of paper and ink, The wait for mailman to appear, That reading without a blink, Days so missed, when letters came from far and near! 3/5/2018
