Write Me a Dream

Write me a poem,
No,
write me a dream.

You see,
when I lay my head
on my pillow at night.
Only rarely hear
The dreamers' call
You know,
the white noise
that you hear
just before you
drop to sleep.
When I do,
my mind is frantic,
Cuz I know
that which is to come
will not cause peace and rest
But it will
Put me on the run.

So I beg of you,
write me a dream.

Write me a dream
that will put to shame
each nightmare
that has crossed my path.

When there's 20 or 30 or 50
Help me to
bind them in a book
So when I need source of inspiration
To free my mind of that which claims it
I will know exactly where to look.

Write me a poem.
No,
Write me a dream, please.

There's been a few dreams written for me, some very nice ones. But none that have inspired my dreams yet. Maybe my mind is just being too picky. I'll have to chastise it for that. Lol.

Technically dreams serve a purpose, It is comparable to defragging one's computer. It is the brain's way of sifting through information discarding the unimportant and saving the important. However, medication alters the process. Nice write, Jolene:) Sweet dreams!
