Wreckage

My car hydroplaned and crashed. My heart was profoundly beating fast. The sky poured out heavy raindrops My face was stained red, from teardrops. I was trapped and couldn't get out. My thoughts raced then came doubt. I was pinned in with no escape. Beyond the heart, I wandered its fate. Before the wreck, I saw you with another. I don't care to know, my mind is befuddled. You came, prying opened the wreckage door. My soul has no will; to carry on anymore. EMS trying to keep me alive. Hurtful emotions, don't want to survive. A sigh, a release of last breath. Free, in a heavenly place; my heart shall rest.

Hi Erin! Your poem has touched me deeply. The accident evidently was as a result of infidelity of someone. It created a desire not to live in a world where most trusted is untrustworthy- very passinate -very emotional. You have captured your feelings very well. -Mohammad

Sad, but wonderfully descriptive of something we hope we never have to go through...
