Wouldn'T It Be Grand

Wouldn’t it be grand
If I could reach out my hand
And say how are you my friend
You would reply
I can’t believe my eyes
I never thought I would see you again
We both would feel
It couldn’t be real
After all these years we can’t believe
We would talk and smile
And after awhile
One of us would have to leave
And then I would say
As I went on my way
Please let’s stay in touch
And you would agree
Along with me
That you would like that very much
It’s just a thought
That my mind caught
From the photo in my hand
I know it can’t be
It’s just silly of me
But wouldn’t it be grand
