Wouldn'T Be Lonesome All the Time

If a broken heart gone wrong
Would always turn into one great song
I wouldn’t be lonesome.. all.. the time

If crowds lined up to hear me play
Singing the words with me on stage
I wouldn’t be lonesome.. all.. the time

But that’s not the way it goes
With broken hearts or one night shows
But It’s all a waiting game
Someday they’ll all know my name

If it was all just in vain
Or a one hit kind of fame
I wouldn’t be lonesome.. all.. the time

If it was all just in vain
Or a one hit kind of fame
I wouldn’t be lonesome.. all.. the time

I wouldn’t be lonesome.. all.. the time

This highlights in a poignant way how performing temporarily stops loneliness, as well as the desire to be well known.
