Would That I Could
Would that I could be the one
to isolate the particles
of density and iron ore
weighed heavy in your breast.
Would that I could be the sun
that shines upon the icicles
of hanging doubt and cold regret
and melt their painfulness.
Would that I could be the balm
to soothe your brow with tenderness
with loving kiss of mountain dew
that makes the night fall still.
Would that I could be the calm
fulfilling you in endlessness;
in knowing this, I say to you:
"I could, therefore I will..."
