Worth the Wait

They say if you love something let it go
but my feelings for you are
true girl, I just thought I let you know
time is money & I know love is hard
but as priceless as you are
just let me heal ya emotional scars.

Being away from you gets lonely from time to time
I'd be lying if I said without you
by my side I'd be fine
I had some sleepless nights but never
cried myself to sleep
I been in love with you but now it's
like I'm in too deep.

I been kinda stressing without you
and I'm getting kinda lonely
I'm missing the sound of ya voice
when you used to say "Baby can you hold me"
I been reminiscing a lot about the love we share
and I promise from this moment forth
I ain't going no where.

I'm done wit my lifestyle
ripping & running the streets
that's my word I wouldn't
make a promise that I can't keep
I'd do anything to keep you happy
and that ain't no real debate
just because I know that you're
Worth The Wait.

This poem was very enjoyable. Corey, it sounds like you really fell for this particular girl. The chemistry is there. I hope she comes back, but as you recognized--it is not something you can make happen. Sometimes it's too late. If it is, remember the lesson for the next time. Good luck.
