Worms

Worms are grisly, quite abhorrent, slimy, and a world apart from style and character I'll warrant. All they do is wriggle, wiggle to distraction, captured by the early bird they're skewered to inaction Yet they aerate the soil, help in nature's grand design, think I'll print a full retraction they're not grisly, they're just fine!

so true, and yet they are just so gross to me!!! It's sad how some of earth's finest creatures were made to look so gross and some of the most dangerous, like a bear, are dangerous!!! I enjoyed this a lot.

i know they're fine, but i agree with your first two verses more than the last one. i love the rhyme of "abhorrent" and "warrant," keith and the second verse is so clever!

yes they are wonderful asset to our soil - I would pick them up as a young child not now though lol:-) Hugs Jan xx
