World Toilet Day

Today’s been named World Toilet Day So we should be aware That lots of people have no place To plop their derriere. If you have ever traveled to A site where you must squat Above a deep hole in the ground – You’d wish that you had not! It’s sad for those in poverty Who do not yearn for plush, But would be thrilled if they, like us, Had access to a flush.

Awesome Ilene....I grew up with an outhouse...and flushing is definely better...especially in winter!

Well, thank you for bringing this to our attention. :) Such an important day for sure. :) The thought of those without a flush can bring such apprehension. Butt maybe someday everyone will know a world more pure. :) Peace.

Laughed sitting here by myself. We recently lived four years in a yurt with alternative sanitation. Being able to flush is better. Thanks for the fun.

I think you've made toilet humor a little more politically correct. Fun poem!

Another wonderful poem from you. And in reply I would say: I count my toilet a necessity / And I use it every day / But then I envy those / With toilet and bidet.

Yes, I have seen these things and when one does see, he appreciates what one has! Good job!
