World Population 2022
From Adam and Eve to 8 billion people
What a wave from just a ripple
Finally claim is laid on all lands
Does it mean more brains and hands
To have all done and much made
And still have many with whom to trade?
To be fruitful and multiply
The present day does testify
Will this gain be a pain
Will the earth bring forth enough to sustain
Only until we put to the test
Why scarcity in the east and waste in the west
Nations and armies glory in the multitude
To work, build and amass into plenitude
The more the merrier for the meaning of unity
Their terror to the adversary is almost immunity
But none of these recall while in their droves
How the Lord's time and chance shoves
Long live and many descendants
Is to us great blessing and to God many remnants
May the increase of the earth fold as we are
May the testimony of our lives ring near and far
For God's Will is not in any way made somber
If faith is found in the hearts of this much a number
