World Cruises
We labored hard for decades to provide
Our kids good lives. We never hoped to be
Rich and prestigious. We were satisfied.
Life was fulfilling; closeness was the key.
Delights like cruises, we could not afford.
Church outings and short trips with family
Renewed our spirits; we weren’t often bored.
Unknown to our grown kids, we frequently
Imagined seeing distant shores--a cruise
So grand! Then they brought tickets and good news.
Each of us now would see the world’s grand views--
So many lovely places, ours to choose!
