Wordsworth Blues

Ah, dearest Wordsworth, what dost thou think? Of my meaningless poetry, scribbled in purple ink? Fooling myself, that I am an international poet? Just a beginner, and don't think I do not know it! Would that you were here by my side. A poet master, both to rule and to guide! With lantern aglow, I know not which way to go! Just lost in wonder, as the last kiss of the winds of summer doth with kindness blow. On the 'morrow, shall read your works with love, so vociferously! Next to the waterfall, beneath the scent of an intoxicating orange tree! 8/21/2021 3

As a fan of Wordsworth myself, I just had to see what this was about. I'm glad I did. It's delightful!

You know, I took a class on the Romantic Poets, amazingly enough, at age 20. And I remember the early poems of Wordworth. They were so sappy-mushy sentimental, about little lost lambs bleating on the sides of dark hills and such.., Yours leave them in the dust, Pangie. Really, they do. So keep on pushing, as Curtiss Mayfield would have said. Grinning, gw

Really, Gershon? How interesting I do not have a fat head about my Poetry. Great Poets far outdo me. But a wonderful comment, nonetheless! Your witticism and intelligence totally shine here.you knock it out of the park frequently. Your soul shines here. B'H"",,,Panagiota

We could all do that, he had his style and you've got yours, you don't need to impress anyone only yourself. Been to his house in Cockermouth in the lake district, I can see where he got his inspirations from. Tom

8/23... Hi Tom. Not feeling good again...so was offline! Forgive me, but I am no Wordsworth nor a great writer. I need at least ten more years to do that. But have no ambitions to be his equal. I may claim to be a writer))) but I am not intoxicated enough to claim greatness,))))You, my friend are far more skilled! That's obvious. Glad you got to see Cockermouth. Humbly yours, Pangie

Panagiota, What do you know, such a nice last kiss. I have an affinity for anyone that would attempt to woo Wordsworth with words of poetry. -Richard
