Words Without Meaning

Words Without Meaning

Some words are sweet and juicy like fruit
Some are sour and cry rape
Others take flight beyond stars
We call them foreign as they burn out
They etch the framework of mind and soul and being in fear
Most letters form words on library shelves
Begin to love themselves at first, at birth
And hide in encyclopedias for centuries without meaning
They make their homes in dictionaries in plain sight, in pain
Waiting for their turn to be abused or even used
Most words are sweet and juicy
They speak the truth but sometimes they get lost
Words without meaning are the worst
Words without meaning try to come out
One day they tried to steal my words of love
And nearly broke my heart
