Words of Meaning

What is the pen without me?
When I write it sets me free
My pen writes with an invisible ink
Who can visualize what I think
In my heart with rhyme and reason
When I write my words they have meaning
As my mind wonders for inspiration
My thoughts are raging and bubbling with passion
My metaphoric phrases give words to your silence
As I’m writing this I’m sacrificing my own existence
Writing about the happiness in my life dissipates my pain
Freedom from life’s drama and peace is what I’m hoping to gain
My every word is sketched with conviction
To write for God that’s my addiction

So very true, Jeffery; you have given a voice to what many think and believe. Certainly should always be freedom and a source of `peace`. :) There can be nothing more consuming and depleting than life`s dramas. I think I will read more, thank you for sharing!! Best wishes, Mikki

Indeed writing, and that particularly poetry is an outburst of emotion. You have woven thought into a beautiful fabric of poetry.
