Words of Hatred

As the waves come on shore
The eyes began to open,
Realizing each day that passes
Not all words are meant to be spoken,
Words of hatred can affect the hearts
Like calling someone stupid
Is how the pain starts,
When the feelings are built up inside you
Just waiting to come out,
That's when you say many things
You have never attempted to shout,
But never wish another's death
As I sadly once did,
I told this to my younger brother
Who was acting like a kid,
He was only seventeen
But I didn't care,
I wanted him to grow up
Even if I wasn't quite there,
I have regretted those words
Each day of my life,
All because I was mad
And started a big fight,
As each day passes
I dream of forgiveness,
Because I now have come to realize
It was never any of my business,
But as I said before
Show love and affection
To each person you adore,
Show them that you love them
And hold back the mean words,
Because once they are out there
You can't hit reverse.
