Words Make the Difference
I know I dont have proper etiquette,
and I know I dont speak like a college graduate,
But for a teenager with a passion for writing,
And a mindset for change,
There's nothing that cant happen,
When a pen hits the page,
The letters flow like water,
Their meanings hard as ice,
these words fall from rain,
into anything that would suffice
Our history its a backdrop,
Its what we look at when we get stuck,
The lives of the needy, of the rich,
how we've always managed to fix,
the issues with money,
the tragedies of plague.
our lack of homes, a decrease on food.
is this really how we have to live?
We walk down a street,
we see Santa's with buckets, and bells,
children running from those who mean unwell,
parents at tables talking about checks
families struggling to even get out of debt,
Will this ever end?
the dollar is dropping, and pretty fast,
gas is up and growing, then drops but that wont ever last.
The natural resources are growing low,
but does anyone realize,
we can still fix this
there are still ways,
Find help for the needy,
Lessen the pain,
Grow away from the worries,
of every new day,
a brand new way of life,
Is just a day.... and a change,
away.
Wont, you be the one to speak out?
Let the words flow from your mouth,
hit a page, run like water
Stretch across the sky,
make a path for the ones
growing into new life.
words make a difference.
