Words In Haste

Words in Haste Written: by Tom Wright 1/16/2013 Sometimes in life, I’ve received some flack, For expressing thoughts that I didn’t weigh; Words once orated that I couldn’t retract, I could stand by them or my tenants betray. I’ve never been known to be overly diplomatic I’ll relate so that you’re sure to understand Never done in a way to cause collateral static Perhaps a suggestion, but seldom a demand My desire has always been doing what’s right, Not stepping upon the feelings of others. But at times I’ve forced my words to flight, Though choosing not to, if given my druthers; But each has ownership of thoughts on things, And while some bite their tongue and just fret. Others launch to air their opinions and dings Only later to experience remorse or regret;
