Words Form a Rainbow
Time was that I didn't know how life could be
Had I not begun writing poetry.
It sometimes helped with the Trainge Dreams I have had
Some were good, while others were bad.
The best are those about my wife
Who taught me the fun of climbing A Tree For Life.
She would stand with me through thick and thin
Never blinking in the face of the trouble I'd get in.
She has helped to smooth my hard shelled crust
Teaching me above all that In God We Trust.
So I oft find myself turning to words, meter, and rhyme
Strengthening our bonds within the Strands In The Rhythm Of Time.
Whispered or shouted, read or said
Some wit and wisdom to have before we are dead.
A way to meet and greet and teach others too
As I have so many times learned from you.
Emotions on my sleeve or hidden deep inside
Poetry opens a world both far and wide.
Words are more than just scratches of black and white
They are the colors of life seen in a different light.
