Words For a Friend
I'm dedicating this to my soup friend Michael.
Life is hard but there's a natural cycle.
Even though we're aware this cycle will occur.
The bad thing is that we can never be sure.
It could happen ten years from now or even today.
But no matter when it happens it can blow you away.
The pain's severe and can last for years.
Just don't be afraid of shedding some tears.
There will be days that you don't want to go on.
You must go on even though your loved one's gone.
Your family will need all your strength and love.
At those times just lean on God above.
