Words Are Empty

Words are empty, I can say it again When they are plenty, they can bring much pain. Words are empty, I say it again, Even when they are scanty, they can make you insane. Words are empty, ask the politicians, So many promise but unfulfilled. I would, I can’t, I know…. All you’ll find out are prepared. Words are empty, ask the lovers So many sweet words in their worlds, Sweet like honey you will say. But don’t come crying when it is done. Words are empty I would say Ask the lovers like I said. Be my, believe me, I would…. Empty promises I have seen. Words are empty, so I thought Not until it struck me once, That all I say and, hear and think, Seldom changes without my choice.
