Words and Art

The art of the written word Likened to an artist painting a picture As the artist spreads paint across the canvas they create a beautiful scene As the writer writes they create visions with nouns and verbs The artist dabbles in every hue As every word is penned in script As a picturesque scene unfolds So does a creative manuscript As each stroke created the picture Each word created a story Each created out of passion and desire Masterpieces for the masses to admire.

An excellent description of the creative process, Phyllis. We often think we are writing just forourselves, but when we create "masterpieces for the masses to admire," we feel so rewarded. Beautiful writing! Love, Carolyn
