Words

You ought to be careful to watch what you say
You might be a little outspoken this  today 
Words can sometimes cut deep in the flesh

Some of your words and even your actions
Could hurt someone, then there's regret 
You can never take them back, ever 


The shadows I see I see them falling 
They  fall my way  across the words
That were cast from your lips


From the cradle to the grave 
I'll stand beside you and walk with you
Evan with long shadows  cast all day

But this I will say to you some words are to inspire
Some  hurt when spoken  so you ought to be careful 
In the words that you say & let's leave it that way !!!!

Duke Beaufort March 21, 2017 at 5:57 PM Words are indeed like the feathers from a pillow. Once released it is nearly impossible to stuff them back in. And so they are shadows that fall where they may. Now I am going to think of the shadows that accompany words. It's a very interesting way of looking at words. I always thought people had auras, but now I am thinking about what words have.
