Notes About The Poem

Woolly Bully

Jabba the hut? Is that the best you can do?
I’ve been called a lot worse by better than you.

You say that I’m portly, then call me a troll.
No soup for you! Now give back your bowl.

I’m just kidding, offended I’m not.
Just let your bowl sit, I’m sure it’s too hot.

I had hoped that your break would have improved your wit.
You’re still just a pimple, now go pop that zit.

But seriously folks, we’ll still try to teach.
It must be hard when intelligence is just out of reach.

Perceptive and cunning or intellectually confused?
You can keep calling me fat, but that’s already been used.

Antiquated material will no longer fit.
Maybe you could find a personality kit.

Your outfits the same, it’s not even woolly.
It’s so sad to see that you’re still just a bully.

Excellent message here Mark, and the more that call out these trolls the better, I have never blocked anyone on this site except Jan and that was a glitch, sorry Jan, I certainly, like yourself and others will not pander to these cowards hiding behind new avatars and names, cheers David

We have had way too many issues. Maybe admin likes spicing up the site.

Mark, this is a fantastic reply to Old Wooly's return to bully those of us he trolled last year. For those who think this kind of write is just as bad, I would say, "If you don't know the history, don't imply that we should ignore bullies. This is called 'bantering' and it's only a war of words. So, if YOU can get the bully(ies) to keep their poems and comments from being sarcastic and caustic, the battles will end. If not, don't read what you may consider to be out of place on PS.

I used to feel differently, but I'm with you all the way now. After months and months of it, I'm fed up with how they are trying to destroy this site. BTW, I felt so bad about Brother Jacob finally leaving the site because of the divisiveness. He was really destroyed (couldn't sleep, etc.) by their calling him a "Christian Charlatan."

If that mosquito keeps buzzing around me, I'll swat it. It's either my blood or his.

If a mosquito or a fly lands on you do you swat it or just ignore it and hope it goes away. Come on people, there is power in numbers.

So true, Mark. I plan to continue to fight back against this insulting and bullying by two or three on Poetry Soup. But, I refuse to give them a platform in the comment section under my poems, so I have blocked them. I wish Poetry Soup had a system for blocking like All Poetry, which completely obliterates those blocked. These people could use some obliterating!

These idiots that come back under different names are just weak little cowards, nothing more. Their lame attempts are feeble at best. Keep the faith Milt!
