Woods
I
Walked through
The woods
Our woods
And
Heard echos of laughter
Memories of our snowy shelter
I
Walked through our woods today
Sighing I move along
The brush scrapes the bottom of my sneakers
And
I See that path
That you and I secretly
discovered, holding hands
such beautiful memories in such a beautiful place
and then
I begin to falter
I walked through the woods
Our woods
And
I
Feel as if
I’ve lost an arm without your hand
In mine
I have got to escape my minds
Pitiful land
I
Still wonder why
The world had to change you
And why I couldn’t follow
Lost in our woods, without you
Lost in our woods, and I am new
