woodpeckers are annoying especially early in the morning. I hear them, but my hubby doesn't...he's kind of hard of hearing. like this poem

Thanks. I used to hear them in my old place. They woke me up a few times, but it was kind of a novelty for me so I kind of enjoyed it. I went outside and saw one banging against a telephone pole. I kept thinking, they must get a terrible headache!

lol, cool write David. iv never heard one but my husband hears them when he takes short cut through church yard to catch bus. He's says they are very loud, good job the residents cant hear them !

In actual truth, I love them. They are pretty loud. Here in the L.A. area, I'd never heard one until I was in my fifties, in my old neighborhood in Monterey Park, where we had some woodpeckers who, strangely enough, seemed to like the telephone poles.
